The Youth and Young Adults departments are designed to a) provide resources for youth, young adults and their families, as well as b) provide fellowship and ministry opportunities throughout Alaska.  The conference supports church and school ministries through:

  • Adventure and Pathfinder club support
  • International Pathfinder Camporee
  • Annual Youth Rally
  • Young Adults Leadership Training
  • Young Adult Summer and Winter Weekends

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

The Alaska Conference Children’s Ministry is a volunteer-led initiative supported by the Youth/Young Adult Department. Our mission is to equip children and their families with meaningful resources that nurture faith, encourage growth, and inspire joy. This page serves as a hub where families can discover tools, activities, and guidance designed to strengthen their spiritual journey together.

In addition to providing resources, we are committed to building connections among children’s ministry leaders across the conference. To foster community and collaboration, we’ve launched a dedicated Facebook group where leaders and families can share ideas, stay updated on events, and support one another in ministry. We invite you to join the group and be part of a growing network that celebrates faith and fellowship in Alaska.

PATHFINDERS

Several churches have active Pathfinder clubs–Juneau, Palmer, Anchorage, Bethel, Dillingham, Kenai and Tok all have active clubs.  As a result, the conference offers its annual camporee at the Palmer Pioneer Peak camp ground each Memorial Day weekend.

2026 started with the Winter Fair at Pioneer Peak the last week in January! The theme was Wings of Faith with a focus on aviation. Pathfinders earned their Aviation honor with the help of local pilots and wonderful volunteers who spent many hours making this possible.

Visit the Pathfinder resource page for information on how to start a club in your area:

YOUTH

Calling all teens ages 13–18! Join us March 27–28 at Amazing Grace Academy for an exciting and meaningful Youth Rally designed just for you. This two-day event will be filled with powerful worship, inspiring messages, fun activities, and real conversations that help you grow in your faith and connect with others in a welcoming, high-energy environment.

Youth ministry leaders are invited to bring their groups and be part of this impactful weekend. Food and transportation will be provided, so all you need to do is show up ready for an unforgettable experience. Mark your calendar, invite your friends, and get ready for a weekend that could change your walk with God.

YOUNG ADULTS

The Young Adult Ministry exists to walk alongside adults ages 18-33 during one of the most transformative seasons of life. Whether stepping into college, beginning a career, or deepening involvement in local church ministry, we believe this is a time to grow in Christ and discover His calling. Our ministry seeks to:

  • Build a supportive community where young adults find belonging and encouragement in their faith journey.
  • Encourage spiritual and social growth through Bible study, fellowship, and Christ-centered relationships.
  • Foster leadership skills that prepare young adults to serve boldly in their churches and communities.
  • Empower active participation in local church life and outreach, reflecting the Adventist mission of sharing God’s love with the world.

The Alaska Conference is committed to nurturing young adults as disciples of Jesus, equipping them to live out their faith with purpose and passion. Together, we embrace the Adventist vision of preparing hearts and minds for service today and for eternity.
