The Youth/Young Adults department is designed to a) provide resources for youth/young adults and their families as well as b) provide fellowship and ministry opportunities throughout Alaska. The conference supports church and school ministries through:
Several churches have active Pathfinder clubs--Juneau, Palmer, Anchorage, Bethel, Dillingham, Kenai and Tok all have active clubs. As a result, the conference offers its annual camporee at the Palmer Pioneer Peak camp ground each Memorial Day weekend.
The majority of youth activities happen on a church and/or school basis. Typically designed for youth ages 13-18, youth events provide opportunities for kids to come together, enjoy food, fun and most importantly spiritual growth. The conference is developing more fellowship opportunity, one of which is the annual Youth Rally that is held each spring.
The 2025 Youth Rally--RECONNECT AND RELATE--is scheduled for March 2024 at Anchorage Junior Academy.
The Alaska Conference provides support and encouragement to young adults who are going to college, entering the work force as young professionals, and continuing to be involved in the ministry of their local church.
Each fall, young adults come together for the annual Young Adult Leadership Training. The training is designed for those wanting to develop and lead a ministry in their church.
Make plans to attend the YA Winter Weekend, January 10-12, 2025, at the conference office!
