ABOUT WOMENS MINISTRIES

The Alaska Conference has an active Women's Ministries department. The volunteer coordinator, Jean Gobah, works with churches across the state providing opportunities for women to fellowship together.

Each spring is the Women's Ministries Retreat in Southcentral Alaska.  The retreat is a weekend of relaxation and spiritual renewal.  Each fall brings the Chistochina Women's Retreat at the Red Eagle Lodge located 233 miles northeast of Anchorage.

In addition to the two retreats, throughout the year Women's Ministries sponsors a variety of events such as the Princess Tea, Ladies Spa Night, Knitwits along with health and wellness seminars focused on women issues.  Women's Ministries offers workshop projects to provide opportunities for church outreach while making fond memories and building friendships.
